It wasn’t pretty, but Leicester managed to hold on late for a 19–15 win over the London Irish to open the season.
The Tigers scored on a try in the 72nd minute to seemingly put the game away; however, the Irish gave the Tigers a run for their money with a try in the 74th minute.
